An initiative by two leading art institutions, the MAK (Peter Noever) and the Academy of Fine Arts (Carl Pruscha), led to a joint resolution (“the unconditional cessation of all acts of war” / against the escalating war in and against Yugoslavia) and an exhibition realized within a few weeks.

For this, 69 international artists spontaneously created artworks in the form of posters. The exhibition catalog (15 × 11 inches / 38 × 28 cm) includes the artworks of all participating artists. This Peace Project was curated by Martina Kandeler-Fritsch, Marianne Goebl, Margarete Heck, Jessica Beer.
